Anthony Pick is a retired management consultant in the IT industry with a lifelong interest in linguistics, and reads reference grammars for amusement.
He is a member of the Philological Society of Great Britain and has two first degrees, from Cambridge and Oxford Universities, but not in linguistic subjects.
